UPDATE 11 iunie 2018: CLASAMENT FINAL TURNEUL RAPID AICI; CLASAMENT FINAL TURNEUL BLITZ AICI.
PARTIDE RAPID AICI; PARTIDE BLITZ AICI.

Desigur, orarul liber este unul aproape inutil in timpul saptamanii si ceva mai util in week-end. Poate unora le este de folos.

GM Fabiano Caruana will be the next Challenger of the World Champion GM Magnus Carlsen. Fabiano won 2018 FIDE Candidates in Berlin, with a very good score: 9,0 of 14! It's very funny how the Fabiano's fans claim his citizen... He is born in Miami but played between 2005-2015 for Italy team (because his mother from Italy). Well, we can say more or less, Fabiano is the 1st italian challenger for World Championship title, even he is american. May become the 2nd american World Champion after Robert James Fischer. In November, in London UK, Fabiano will face (in a match) the World Champion Magnus Carlsen.
Playing online against a legend: GM Nigel Short!

"The handsome English chess legend :)" respecting and quoting his own words on the Playchess.com profile. I have not played in my life with many GMs, I mean OTB. More than that, I think I played officially (at long time) against one single GM: Alon Greenfeld (1st International Chess Festival Roma Citta Aperta 2016). Because, I was not lucky to be paired with such a strong player, in the first rounds and a patzer like me, did not reach in the next rounds so high rank, except with Greenfeld, when I played on board number 25 of 85 and it was the 7th round.
In OTB blitz chess tournaments or rapid, I was more lucky, meeting few GMs but at that time, they were not sent at FIDE the tournaments. Online, however, I was fortunate enough to meet plenty of great players. In my view, I believe that, the most powerful and famous of the "personal collection" has become today, GM Nigel Short! (FIDE profil here)
Carlsen flags (game 8) but leads 9-7. Today 8 blitz games.

UPDATE 14/02/2018 : Carlsen wins unofficial Fischer Random World Championship. 14-10 against Nakamura. Games in this article.
Last night I could not sleep ... Leaving the joke on one side, I was wondering: what did Magnus say to Naka in the image you see? No matter what came out of his mouth, in the head had something like: go beggar in my "gearbox"! I don't understand why the organizers who promote this idea of Fischer, have not adopted the time control proposed by him? The increment. Of course, Nakamura's "lawyers" will say that there is a time control and that Magnus had to propose a draw. While Carlsen's will replicate, that he has material advantage and certain positions can be won. Moreover, Magnus offered the trade of rooks (move 115) but Nakamura chose to fill himself with "glory", in a game where he was almost taken off the board...
